Motor show Leipzig AMI 8.4.2008

Every kind of car was on show, including luxury limousines and concepts from 500 exhibitors from all over the world. ‘Green’ cars with hybrid drives are a modern trend, and they were there too.

And what could you see? Škoda presented the new Superb, the BMW CS concept drew huge interest, and so did the Mercedes SLR, the Nissan GT-R and its cut-away models, Audi TT, Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000, Porsche Carrera, BMW 6 Series, Subaru Impreza WRX STI and more. Formula 1 fans gathered around the Honda team car.

This year’s highlight was an exhibition of celebrities’ cars: Pope Paul VI’s Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman, Svetlana Stalina’s Tatra 601 Sodomka cabriolet, Leopold of Bavaria’s BMW Isetta, Helmut Kohl’s Mercedes S-Class and Prince Charles’s Range Rover.
